CSU WASC Webinar 2-3 October 26th

October 24, 2011

Please either participate in Haak Boardroom, 4th Floor, Henry Madden Library, or login from your computer or office phone.

Invitation and instructions follow:

Dear CSU Colleagues,
Please join us for an on-line meeting with Ralph Wolff, President of the Senior College Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, for an inside look at proposed changes to the WASC accreditation model.
For the past year, a number of task forces have been shaping recommendations to improve the current model, now ten years old.  The commission hasn’t yet approved any changes, but it seems likely we’ll see less emphasis on educational inputs evaluated over multiple site visits, and a greater focus on student success, public accountability, and external validation of student learning.  Many of you learned about these ideas at last spring’s Academic Resource Conference, in San Francisco.
Throughout October WASC leadership is holding a series of regional meetings to solicit feedback on the new ideas, ahead of its November commission meeting.  This webinar is part of that effort, directed especially to audiences in the CSU.  To join:
